Red synthetic braids

Here’s another take on the Purple-icious Cornrows.  My friend and I were walking through Mall at Millenia in Orlando, FL when we saw this young lady.  My friend took a quick snap shot for the fans of ghetto-fab with her phone.

These are synthetic braids, individual plaits, in a luscious red on the top half of her head and then black on the bottom half.  These braids made me hungry for candy apples.

So what do you think?  If you were daring enough, what color would you try?

Purple-icious Cornrows

I found this beautiful lady, Christine,  in Sarasota, FL while I was taping a weaving how-to video for the site.  Christine said that her cousin, who lives in Arcadia, braided these cornrows for her.  The cornrows have synthetic hair braided in, some of which is purple.  In person, the braids were done beautifully and the purple looks awesome.  My only question when getting any color in your hair is-what if your outfit doesn’t match?
